Legacy Rank is architected as an offline-first, on-device application. We do not require account creation, logins, phone numbers, or email addresses to use the app. No user information is ever transmitted to remote analytics servers, cloud databases, or third-party advertising brokers.
All student profiles, member IDs, attendance records, instructor endorsements, FIT test times, and finger/stylus digital signatures are saved using Apple's local sandbox storage (UserDefaults and sandboxed App Documents). This data is completely sandboxed by iOS and is never accessible to other apps.
Legacy Rank requests camera access exclusively for scanning student transfer QR passes between students and certified instructors. Camera data is processed in real time on the device using Apple's Core Image and Vision frameworks. No photographs, video streams, or facial recognition biometric data are ever captured, saved, or uploaded.
You own all your training data. You may export your verified timecard at any time via PDF, or purge all logs permanently from your device using the "Reset All Training Data on Device" feature located in the app's Security & Compliance settings.
Because Legacy Rank is designed for junior martial arts leaders as well as adults, we strictly adhere to children's privacy regulations. We do not solicit or collect personal information from children under 13, nor do we run behavioral trackers or third-party ads.
Legacy Rank is an independent study aid and hours log designed for students and junior leaders in the Songahm Taekwondo curriculum. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by ATA International or any martial arts organization.
